Help! my clutch pedal feels "crunchy" beyond annoying!
Does anyone else have this problem? Ive changed the cable a couple of times and it will feel better for a little bit but feel crunchy when its near the floor like its catching on something. If i let the car sit for a little bit it will be fine and feel normal for a little bit then feel crunchy again. It sounds like its inside like there is an issue with the springs on the clutch pedal...any input?!

Lube it? Every 6 months I will spray some lube down both ends into the cable and it feels smooth as butter and I broke zero. (now since I replied, I will probably end up breaking one)

Unscrew the adjustment nut all the way out until it's loose and then retighten it making sure the cable doesn't spin with it. The crunchy effect comes from binding the cable inside it's jacketing. Also make sure the cable sits in it's holders properly. I can crunch and decrunch my cable on command. Good luck

When the clutch grabs at the floor and the pedal sticks to the floor it is a sure sign your cable is not adjusted properly. The cable is too long and needs to be shortened. The crunching should go away if you catch it early enough.
However your cable is likely failing. As it fails it gets longer causing the other symptoms, and the frayed cable catches on the sheath causing the crunching.

Get a long 10mm open ended wrench and loosen the nut on the cable. Turn the adjustment wheel clockwise (or up towards you) a few turns, tighten 10mm nut and then try the clutch out again. Repeat process until clutch feels better.

also, as someone else said, it doesn't hurt to "lube" up the clutch cable a bit. also spray some WD40 on the wheel/nut

When the pedal kinda sticks isnt that a sign of the TOB going out as well?
