$100 for resolution of my dreaded ignition issue.
While driving the car will randomly cut off, and will take many tries before it restarts.

I have replaced so far:

Ignition switch
Ignition relay 1/2
ECU relay/ground
Checked all fuses.
Replaced coil
Tested distributor.
Changed spark plugs/cap/rotor

In desperate need if help.

The person who leads me to resolve the issue. Will be rewarded $100 via PayPal gift.

Make sure all your chassis grounds are clearned and secure. If that doesn't work...replace the dizzy. Mines was overheating after driving and can only restart it after 5-10 mins.

Chris make sure the ecu connector is seated all the way and is straight.

To narrow it down:

The issue is only after a short drive.
The car starts every time in the morning.

If I drive a mile and turn the car off, it will not restart.

I will check the ECU and replace the distributor.

Keep the suggestions coming! Thanks

Car turns over,no start. Getting fuel but the coil is getting low voltage ~9volts cranking.

hmmm. do you have a spare igniter chip? the coil and chip will do funny things when they get hot. I ditched my stock ignition for a msd 6a and blaster coil because I found it was weak. Where did you get the jwt ecu from and are you sure it does not have a issue. I would do a point to point check on the coil harness and see what the resistance is. then shake the harness and flex the wires and see if there is a issue.

I was going to say the starter but the fact that it shuts off while driving is bizarre. Whats your idle set at? Does it just die in the middle of riding on the highway in like 5th gear at 4000rpm? Or does it die when you're at a stoplight or something.

distributor, same exact problem I had ...random moments the car would completely loose power..even when cruising ..then it would crank but not start. when the distrubuter heats up it creates resistance... thus losing power ..hope this helps good luck
