Heat cycling tires
Looking for some input on heat cycling tires for the track.
I have a new set of Kuhmo XS tires for the upcoming convention.I havent put them on a car yet,but they are mounted on wheels and ready to go.
I was searching and came across a few discussions about this.
For example Discount tire recommends heat cycling them,as per Kuhmo. They claim the tires are sensitive to the first cycle particularly.
General opinion seems to be that it is not needed for these tires, and all it does is extend the life minimally over time.
Please discuss.
I have zero knowledge about this, and this will be my first time driving on a "real" track.I have done some autocrosses, and slower speed local time attack, but never on a full roadcourse.
