Use the correct sized open ended wrench? I did not see that response suggested.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by sticking a piece of black pipe on the end of my crescent though?

Blac k pipe is usually used for boilers thenatural gas lines.a 10 ft oength is 20 buckes. A two foot piece might run you about five measure the width of the handle of the adjustable so you know what size to buy.most likely its 1 1/2 inner diameer

Manifold are assembled from manifold tube egr then intake manifold.that's way you can slightly bend your pipe with the leverage off the egr mounting point

Most headers are slightly off on location .sometimes youthink its tight but will leak.the method I just explained about already has these points locked dow nand at the end of the egr is your leverage point. Give it a bend or two or ntil your mount holes for thegr are flush with im mounting point.good idea to clean out the egr.check hoses.I noticed a big difference cleaning out the egr pipe and bpt while replacibg mostly all of their hoses. For gas mileage.when I did this to my own 200sx at 150k and then again at 175

Oh you meant putting it on the wrench as a breaker bar? I have plenty of those to use. Even with one, the issue becomes stripping the nut. I'm going to remove it from the EGR valve first, that way I can pull the manifold off the car and get to the other side of the nut (with fresh untoched edges) to try and work it off. Might do this weekend, i'll report back then
