Thread: prothane motor mount inserts

i just put prothane motor mount inserts into my 93 nx2000 and my engine is solid but it vibrates the shit out of the interior of my car! what is recomended to stop the vibrations? or how do i make all the interior parts not vibrate?

That's the beauty of stiff motor mounts.The vibration has to go somewhere,mostly through your spine and anything else that is nearby.You'll get used to it.Change in the ashtray vibrates,rear view mirror,every single piece of plastic.........

ahhh shit.... oh well lol i guess ill have to get used to it then lol sucks cuz its my daily driver...

Chassis foaming or sound dampening are about all that will help as far as I know.

JWT/Nismo mounts(if you can find them) are solid rubber.They will lessen the rattling,thats about as good as It gets.

I love the rattle at idle with my lopey cams shaking the shit out of my car lol. have you tried using stock mounts on the sides and prothane front and rear? also check your crossmember bushings.

stock sides and prothane front and rear is a decent option too if you arent making huge HP....as ga16eats said.

Pieces of rubber and shim braces on hood.tiggten hood latch assemblywhatever thin walled rubber lining eith mild locktite on a few vscrews in cabin and it should be pretty quiet.give it a try
