Sounds like fuel to me. 7 years of sitting, forget about it running well unless you cleaned it up

Yah that's fine. If you blow out a hose, it was clogged to the max anyway. =]

To the OP, I'm thinking fuel issues as well. Fuel filter was my first guess. You said you replaced it, but not with a new one. Get a new one, and flush things out if you can. Fuel pump like others have said may be shot. Or the sock filter on it might be super clogged. Time to get into the tank and take a look around.

I've seen the fuel in cars go bad after sitting for a single winter, with like a half tank in it. I can't imagine seven YEARS. That would be like, if I didn't start or drive my car from this moment on until the year 2020 - that's gotta be it.

True, people has bad gas in jetskis here after sitting for a few months.
On both my cars that sat for over 5 years, you could smell the bad gas when you opened the door of the car. OBVIOUS smell of bad gas.
Surely when you put in the walbro you had to look in the tank and clean the sock.
Now way in hell the gas was fresh after 7 years.

One of mine had problems again after a few months too,it started making right turns...the sock was getting clogged with crap that I didnt get in the first go-round of cleaning the tank.
I removed the pump assy and cleaned the tank again, and never had another problem.
But let me tell you,it is not a fun job cleaning the tank.

I agree. F that. The best bet is just to avoid getting into this situation in the first place. Even if you have a car not legal to drive, start it up every few weeks and let it run for a little while.

It has a new 255 pump. I also replaced the exit fuel line that comes from the pump to the motor. Well just the short one it was torn. Yeah it was on E so i threw 4 gallons in and sea foam and ran fine. Burnt all those four gallons then put more. Then one morning it just stopped running. Should i drop the tank?
