Thread: B14 keeps popping starter signal fuse...Frustrated!

Ok guys i need some ideas, i pulled my motor to fix some things and swap the trans well got it back in everything hooked up and it keeps popping the starter signal fuse. It works fine when i jump it at the starter harness so thats not the problem on that side. Nothing has been touched on the chassis side so im confused why it keeps blowing it, check the switch maybe? It has been working perfectly fine before the motor was pulled...

If it keeps blowing the fuse, there is a short somewhere.

well its not the switch nor the tt harness. I suppose the only thing to do is to trace it to the fuse box. and see what i find. Its always something...

once the signal wire on the solenoid was rubbing the housing of my starter. it never popped a fuse until it rubbed through the paint on the body of the starter. just an idea

hmmm interesting, is there a relay that engages when the key is turned to start?
