Thread: Headlight Adjustment

Having an issue with the headlights not being secured on a 99 se-l. Appears that the mounting tabs that secure the headlights are broken off and allowing the headlights to have excessive movement. Is there anywhere I can buy the plastic mounts/tabs that secure the light in or am I stuck buying a new headlight assembly if they even come with the new mounts.

If you can pull them off a junkyard set is pretty much the only other option from buying complete ones

Will 1.6 sentra headlight bracket mounts work? The headlights on the car now are the 95-97 style. 1.6 or 2.0 shouldnt matter with the brackets no?

no there is no difference on 1.6 and 2.0

The differences between the 1.6 and 2.0 in the B14 chassis are:

1) Engine (of course)
2) Transmission
3) Suspension
4) Limited slip differential (except in 98-99 models which didn't have it either)
5) 2.0 had powered windows and locks, some of the 1.6's had roll up windows, no keyless entry
6) 2.0 had leather wrapped steering wheel
7) Some of the 2.0's had the "premium sound package" with sunroof
8) Spoiler
9) Interior colors
10) Fog lights
11) White face gauges
12) I'm sure I forgot a few things

if you decide to go the new headlight route i have a pretty fresh pair off a 99 for sale. Good tabs on it lol
