Exhaust pipe size ID or OD???

I'm just working on my new header and working on the choke after the collector. Can I assume the 2.25" choke I'd inside diameter? As most of us know some pipe/ tubing is thick. 2.25" outside diameter is almost 2" ID. Just want to make sure it's ID

I believe tubing usually goes by OD

I'm glad I held off answering, I would have been sure that we'd be talking about inside diameters when talking about such technical header stuff.

Well ya I think tubing goes by OD and piping goes by ID but like Ben said I'm sure people mean ID when talking about header specs.
