That's very true Shawn. Besides, how are you to acquire a level of expertise without putting in the time, so to speak? The harder the obstacle, the bigger the reward. If you don't want to tackle the challenge, then your intent aren't aligned with your interest - and everyone has varying degrees of interest in any given area. AWD swaps into B13s might not be for everyone, but for those that have the desire and the will to do things like that, then they will get them done.

That time is entertainment time. Hobby time. Fun time. Challenge time.

When doing a custom ride for yourself, yes, the only thing that counts is the actual parts you bought.

Not the time spent by your and your buddies making the thing work. Do you count the two hours spent in the price of going to a movie? Or does going to the movies cost the ticket, popcorn, and a drink? It costs the ticket, popcorn and drink, not an additional 25-per hour for the money "you could have made" while at work.

Counting "labor" in a fun project-car is a ridiculous argument for not doing the project car.

The cost of the materials are thee only thing that counts, or find yourself another hobby.

Yes Shawn doing a awd swap is not like doing a header swap. I would say maybe 5% of people have the tools and skill to pull it off. If your not in that 5% guess your going to pay for that job. That job is going to come down to time and time = money.
