Cold compression test on engine that's been sitting for months
I'm getting whacky numbers on an engine that I thought had good compression. It's been sitting for a long time, so I'm hoping nothing went wrong with it while it was sitting, but the numbers are so:

Cyl 1: 145
Cyl 2: 90
Cyl 3: 180
Cyl 4: 40

I'm gonna do a wet test now to see if it changes anything, but would these numbers be reliable on a cold engine that's been sitting around for a while?

Did you have the throttle wide open? Those numbers are all over the place. 2 and 4 look bad. i would do a leak down test.

Yeah intake manifold off so WOT basically. We tested wet compression and all 4 cylinders were 270+ psi.

Edit: probably should have done leakdown test before wet compression test? oh well
