P10 with P11 LSD trans, What speed sensor?
I posted this on G20.net as well but thought i would try here too.

I have a P11 trans in a P10 with 205/45/16 tires (should be close to stock diameter). It has the stock P11 speed sensor and the speedometer is about 5MPH off at 60MPH. Anyone know which gear (color) would get me a correct speedometer? Would the stock P10 gear work?

You need to put your p10 one in. It should have a different colored gear on the sensor, which stands for a different model/tire size. There are I believe 3 different colors throughout all the fwd sr20 vehicles. All for different tire sizes on different models.

Thank you.

What size tires are supposed to be on your P10? I know they used 195/60-14 on the earlier models and then eventually switched to the 195/65-14. I have no idea if they are different between touring models.

Either way, I think the 205/45-16 are within 1/10 of an inch in overall diameter vs 195/60-14 tires.

I am interested in what color is your stock speed sensor because I am about to do the same swap, but into my 93.5. The stock tire size claimed is 195/65-14. I chose 205/50-16 tires to be near to stock tire diameter.

Not related to the speed sensor but this tire size calcultor is pretty cool.

If this is of no help to the OP, maybe it will help out somebody who views this thread in the future. Somebody posted this link in the chat the other day and I jacked it!

Also, as far as I've seen, all gears are the same. GA, SR, P10, P11, B13, N14. All are the same size, and the same number of teeth.

I know there are different color gears to correspond to the different # of teeth. Miko has a thread about this somewhere, i might have to dig it up.

I have been using the Transmission worksheet to calculate tire size. I might go to the junk yard and pull a few different speed sensors and see if any of the gears are different. I will search for Mikos thread and report back.

Edit:
Here is Mikos post. http://www.sr20-forum.com/general-sr20/34806-first-time-everything.html
Here is the gear stack worksheet. http://www.sr20-forum.com/information-library/26440-fwd-sr20-gearstack-worksheet.html

Because the tire diameter is different the speed is off. I might have to try a different gear, maybe the red one, and see if that makes it better.

As an update it is the Red gear that is on the sensor i have. I think once i change it out for a Green one everything should be correct.
