Interesting about the RS3s turning hard after a "short" period of time. I believe that's why I have zero traction up front with my RS2s after about 4 years of owning them. =D

All I have to say is 200 AA. LMFAO! Those damn things wouldn't last 4 months in Florida.

200 wear rating is a big deal, since a lot of the popular racing classes require 200 or better to compete.

I've had my Kumho MX's for 7 years now. They have a rating of 220 AA.

200 AA should last about 14,000 easy street miles.

For many racing organizations it's a minimum of 140, so 200 is a bonus. But hey Wayne, you'd think a 200 will last longer than a 140, no? And from the tests and pictures, folks are saying the Rivals wear like iron as compared to other Exterme Performane Summer tires. There may be a dark side to the tire, but right now it looks like it's going to dominate the sector.

I dislike old tires. Generally, if I have owned a pair of tires for six years, I scrap them.

6 years? You're either not driving more than a few k/year, or buying old man tires.

I wasn't aware these were strictly for track use. I just assumed "summer" was or warmer weather. So in that case if they are only seeing track time then I would agree. But daily, simi daily or weekend cruises. I would completely avoid them.

I have read countless articles on the Rival and Direzza II, over the next few months more and more sizes will become available. We just have to wait and see. However, given Dunlop's history, I don't see them producing a 225/45/15 tire like we want. I am shooting for the Rival in that size for the convention.
