Move it freely with no effort? Definitely can't move it. Shit

I can wiggle, but can not push it in if my life depended on it. Greg V says that's normal, and this guy here stiff clutch arm - SR20 Forum so I don't know what to think.

be able to wiggle it is good. Hook up the clutch and adjust it. then see if you can put the car in all the gears with the motor running. if you can do that you should be good. My clutch arm is easier but I have had the tranny off and service the clutch arm and input shaft. this makes a huge difference because the surface the tob rides on can get scratched causing the travel not to be smooth.

When I need to get the clutch cable on the shifter arm I just use a big ass flat head screw driver and use the ridges on the transmission to push that arm towards the firewall. Takes 3 seconds.

You are the man circa. I just tried that just now with my big ass flat head. It move pretty easy. That thing is impossible to move by hand alone. Definitely need a breaker bar, or big ass flat head screw driver.

once I had a cable snap on me and that made the TOB pop off the clips. I had to pull the transmission just to put it all back together.

Use only OEM quality cables

I will be using a brand new Nissan clutch cable, from Greg V.

I had min snap one time...taking a left hand turn......that sucked...luckly I had a spare...always get a spare,and leave it at home...

It's a bad feeling when it happens, right? I knew what it was when it happened. Now that I think about it, I think the cable got stretched back in February when I first started this thread. Should have known better.
