Strange Power Issues... new alternator
Okay, so a little background...
200sx SE-R SR20DE+T tuned with Nismotronic via an OBD1 ECU and a step-down adapter.
I just got a new alternator b/c mine was going out. I got a 95 AMP one from NAPA and confirmed that it's putting out around 14.85 volts or so. My battery light stays on all of the time (but not the brake light).
When I turn on my lights and/or heater, the car starts bogging, AFR's go into the 16's idling (normally they hover around 12-13), and the lights start doing a fast bright/dim/bright dance...
I have an Optima battery, that seems to be okay. I've had it tested a couple of times and everything checked out. I would expect the alternator on our engines to be able to handle a heater.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
