Good luck!

This morning I bypassed the inhibitor relay and watta ya know. I got crank!!! however, it did not fire. It was as if it wasnt cranking fast enough and it seemed like the lights were dim. So then i charged the battery, and while I was doing that i made sure everything else was good. I put the newly charged battery in, tried to start, and i got normal paced crank but it still would not fire! I checked to see if i got spark, and indeed i did. all my plugs were also soaked, so the next thing i thought about was the firing order. I checked that, and corrected it and cleaned the plugs. then it finally started, and ran for 2 seconds and then died. It sounded kinda rough. I think it was running rich. After that succesful attempt, i was no longer able to get anything out of it

I am using the OEM b14 se-r ECU (n/a 9.5:1 CR) untuned
i swapped the usdm sensors and using the usdm wiring harness.
Motor: u12 det, with stock t25, stock 370cc's 8.5:1 CR

Any ideas? Should it atleast idle with this ECU? or will i need to get a tuned ecu?

New ECU man, stock B14 SE-R's don't come with 370cc's stock. It's probably rich enough for startup but too rich for continuous running. Get the right ECU for it and you'll be good to go.

how did you by pass the inhibiter switch. i read somewere that if you take a small wire and to electicle inserts you can plug it in the grey relay in the fuse box in the engine bay... is that how you did it because my friend did that in his g20 when we converted his auto to 5 speed it wouldent start so we read up and he did the mod and it worked.. it didnt work for me sadley i wonder if there is anything else im missing because i did not attempt to plug in the small plug in the clutch peddle because i dont know were it plugs into because it was an auto before

Other wise you are chasing wires and trying to figure out what is missing. Also the cluster is usually wired a little differently.

You need to get a manual and trace which wires do which and find out where the harnesses are different.

^Lets say you have a 91-92 1.6L that is already a MANUAL and you want to convert it with parts from a 91-92 2.0L MANUAL. do you think using a under dash wiring harness from a 2.0L would be necessary? This is what I plan on doing when I find a clean 4door from the 91-92 years that is already a 5 speed.

thats what im saying if you alread have a 5 speed you shouldent need to change your inside harness..you alreayd have the Neutral sefety switch to your pedal and everything else.. it would be cake doing your swap

I would have to agree. I dont think the issue is the motor side but the AT / MT side. The harnesses are a little different and some things need to be bypassed.

All I did for my auto -> 5 speed conversion was wire up the neutral safety switch. I don't even have any wires coming from the plugs on my clutch pedal.

Find the neutral safety switch wire that leads to the ECU and the correlating ground, wire them up to your neutral safety switch and you should be able to start the car with no issue. B13's and B14's are surely different but the connector I had to wire to the neutral safety switch was a 4-pin on the engine harness leading back to the interior.
