If you see it in their garage, that is solid proof. You call 911 there and say you found your stolen car, you saw it sitting in this persons garage and you need a officer asap before things get ugly.

How would your buddy take a look in there? Don't be an idiot and blow your possible lead...unless you plan on being there 24/7. Whatever you do, it needs to happen fast! However, sneaking into somebody's garage can get you killed and that's just not worth it.
