Another ACT clutch bites the dust
After only about 4k miles. Found this while tearing down to replace 5th gear popout in my '92 SE-R

Its an ACT competition.. the pressure plate is fine.. but as you can seen, theres not much time left for the disc. The springs are digging in.

UGH!!!!!!!!!

I was told by a sr20 mech that the best disk to use with the act pp is the oem nissan dealer disk unless going springless.

clutch masters is way better. I had a act pp fail with less than 10k on it.

I help a group of guys that road race a SE-R, and I talked them into go solid hub for their racecar. It is more abrupt, but it is safer than loosing a spring and wasting all of the money getting to a race. ACT puck clutch looked pretty good when the engine was pulled for more power. I've seen this happen with ACT street discs, Key Value, B15 Nissan, and generic discs. PITA.
