Yep, definitely seemed like a bent cam, like I said. Glad they helped you out with a cam for cheap.

I already purchased another set of S3's from Rawdy, which are in the car and running fine. I am going to buy the cam from JWT just so I have a complete set. Without it, the intake cam is sort of useless. I'll probably end up selling them.

Kyle is being very gracious about this. Neither one of us is sure when and how the cam got bent. Kyle has agreed to pay half for this new cam. The plan is to re-install the bent cam in Kyle's car and see if we get a leaky valve. If we don't, then we know the damage happened prior to Kyle's ownership. If it leaks, then it was probably something I did ($50 refund to Kyle). Unfortunately, the re-install will have to wait because the Teal beast is Kyle's only driver at the moment.


Overall, I pretty happy with the S3's. Definitely, an improvement in power. I have a rough idle issue I'm working out. I also intend to stick a JWT ECU in there and get a little bit more out of it. A good set of tires and some Hawk blues and I think I'm set for the Convention. Nice to haves would be a CSK setup and get some p11 black leather split folds for the rear seat.

@Kyle or hank must have done something to bend them on accident. It happens. How many owners have the cams been through? JWT ftw. Hooked up Hank even though it wasn't their fault. I love their customer service even though its slow sometimes lol.
