Lowport non-RR intake question
Hey guys, have a few questions about the lowport intake manifold. I'm planning on fitting one to my roller rocker DE to try get some gains from it but before I do i'll be removing the iacv and air regulator with a block off plate, egr block off as well as throttle coolant bypass.

Before all that though I need to know which of the ports on the manifold have to be blocked off to do so? I have pictures below of the intake manifold

I don't have access to the engine the mani came from to reference so hence the questions. Apologies also for the poor quality phone photos but laptop is wrecked

I'll be doing the same swap very soon. I will have some steps and pics then. Now you said RR and blocking off IACV thus I'm assuming your running a 32bit ecu still? How are you going to attach the RR throttle body?

I'm not sure what it is your asking with the 32bit ecu, ecu and mapping talk is still one bit that completely eludes me. By any chance has it something to do with the US RR running obd2 ecu's? If that is the question this is a uk RR

I should probably have mentioned I know where most of the breathers/pipes go and what can be capped off. The only pipes I haven't quite figured out are the large pipe under the plenum above port 3, the large breather that's beside the throttle body and the large pipe that's beside the rocker cover breather.

I'm guessing the breather closest the throttle runs to the intake pipe?

In the US the only roller rockers we got where in cars with 32 bit ecu's which had completely different IACV's. Seems like this doesn't apply to you .

As for the large nipple above cyl 3. You will need to cap it off, along with the large one above cyl 1. This is used for the cold aux air regulator that forces your RPM to stay above 1500rpm for 90 seconds. You don't need it, thus it's simplest to keep it plugged.

This is what it looks like when it's all hooked up:

Cheers Vadim, must find some little nipples to block off the breathers like in the picture

5mins work with some alu and have iacv blocked off

So only really the 1/2" pipe beside the throttle, it doesn't lead into runner 1. So what does it connect to?

The 1/2" (or 5/8?) pipe by TB is for the IACV that you just blocked off. Try blowing into it and you should not pass any air through.

How do you plan on controlling the air for idle?

I'm temporarily using a manual valve while I'm running a 00+ USDM RR manifold. Once I swap in the lowport one I can have the ECU do the magic .

This is the breather I was on about, your right, it's 5/8" I just made a guesstimation looking at it.

I blew through the pipe and it exited directly from the breather under the plenum here:

Which joins to the pipe beside my iacv block off and air passes through it freely despite the block off plate. I plan on just controlling the idle by cracking the throttle open to keep it idling like a few on here have done

Oh interesting, I'll have to check mine too. I haven't dealt with trying to remove it yet, only have played with the highport one so far .
