I haven't seen reset ECU but I'm only scanning. That has helped me w high ~2700rpm idle problem.

Is there a procedure for resetting the ECU aside from just the usual disconnecting of the battery?

Here is a video to show what is going on.

I wish you had a Consult cable, so you could see what the various sensor values are. I asked you previously about the TPS voltage, which I don't think you've checked yet. If you haven't tried already, disconnect the TPS and start the car. I'd like to see if that makes a difference.

Disconnecting the TPS did not make a difference in the vehicle starting. I have not yet had a chance to make some clips to backprobe the connector, but it doesn't seem like disconnecting the TPS makes a change in the running condition.

I'm just going to throw somethings I can think of out there...
Obviously the TPS and IACV are the 2 main things you need to check first to insure they are working properly however I haven't ever seen a bad IACV cause idle to shoot up... I would check your throttle plate really well for any cracks or damage...

Are you sure that the throttle plate would be the culprit in this case? It's visibly in good condition (cleaner even than the outgoing engine) but wouldn't that not be the only issue at play? A sensor somewhere is telling the ECU to send extra fuel.

Resetting ECU; Theres a little clear plastic window in the side of the ecu. Pull that back and use a small flathead screwdriver to turn it all the way clockwise. Hold at that setting for 10-15 seconds and then screw it all the way back counter clockwise.

When it stops turning don't force it at all thats as far as its meant to go.

Worked for me and I was swapping sensors and checking voltages all over the place. Reset ecu and idled like a champ. My theory is tha all the things I was changing (this was also after a swap) just got some goofy settings in the ecu.

I really should consider that. Do you think that could also work for a stock-to-stock swap? No matter what, I think I will give it a try.

This is the car's MAF sensor. Not sure if cleaning it will make a difference, or if it may still be defective anyway.
