I need help fast, inner passenger side boot
For '93 SE-R, BTW, NOT my pictures!

I did not pay attention while I was fixing this. I'm having problems trying to remember how this part goes

Is the wider side of that part goes toward cv joint or toward the boot? I put the wider side towards the cv joint. Now I' having second thoughs.

This is how mine looks:

Please help!

Really need to see your pics to see how you've got it oriented. If you're talking about that taper on the ring, the tapered side should go toward the outside of the axle.

This is the part I'm talking about: THE RING!

One side is wider that the other. I put the wider side towards the cv joint. Let me try to explain, I put the wider side in, looking toward the transmission. The thinner side to the outside, towards the wheel. This way you can't remove the ring without removing the star.

You talking about the ring or the star? Ring should have the taper toward the wheel side, star should be symmetrical iirc.

Sorry, I did not realize that you can't see the pictures. The easiest way to explain it is, Can you remove the ring without removing the star?

I believe so, but I'd have to see one again to make sure.

Something so simple and is driving me insane. They way I put it is that you can't remove the ring without removing the star. With the thinner side toward the wheel.
