Thread: Remove Shift Linkage

How do you remove the shift linkage from a manual transmission on a B14? Does it pull straight out? I'm following this guide...

So your trying to swap a tranny or motor? Or are you trying to specifically do the linkage?

If your just trying to get the tranny unhooked. Follow the shifter all the way down to the tranny and undo that either 10mm or 12mm bolt. Slide the Link out of the tranny by pulling back and then reinstall the bolt so you dont loose it.

unbolt it and let it drop down on top of the sway bar/exhaust

Thanks, got it. Tranny is finally out. What a $&*#@ getting to some of those bolts.
