Low port injector removal sucks
Am I the only one that thinks getting to the injectors on a low port is a ridiculous process? Good gawd, I think i'd rather do a tranny swap! I spent most of last night removing the mani collector and finally got the little buggers outta there. Phillips head screws?...really Nissan?! I just hope I can remember where all the vac hoses, coolant hoses and harnesses go when it comes time to put it back together...

I'm sending the injectors out to be professional cleaned and flow tested. Hopefully, they don't take too long to get them back to me. My memory isn't like it use to be......I may have to hit you guys up if i get stuck.

BLess ya for doing it, it is a PITA. I would have tried swiping junkyard parts, have them cleaned and flow tested, and then when you install them on yours, the likelihood of forgetting parts is less apparent.

But, now, since you have yours apart, replace all the hoes if you wish with new ones!

Good luck, are you using RC engineering to clean and flow them?

next time use hose pliers on the injectors to get them out. I use it to grab the injector by both holes on the top. rotate the injector back and forth to get it loose then pull it out.

Getting them out of the rail was the easy part. Just getting to the point where I could get to the caps was the hard part. There must be 20-30 hoses/harnesses that have to come off along with all the bolts holding the mani collector down. It's all tight quarters to boot. The long coolant hoses under the collector are a PITA. As mentioned, the phillips head cap screws are just plain stupid. I'll be replacing them with some sort of allen head equivalent from the hardware store.

make sure to put some anti seize on the injector cap hard ware. I agree the screws are stupid and I usually end up using vise grips to get them loose.
