Thread: Which Is the better tranny B15 or P11

i am looking into replacing my B14 tranny from the 200sx with new 5th gear pop out kit .

for a P11 or b15 tranny.

Which is the better tranny and why > ? Also this is for a turbo car.

I will probly sell my B14 tranny for $400 ( new 5th gear kit inside)

They are both basically the same ... other than the P11's have a lower final drive ratio 4.18 vs 4.437, better for turbo application, But the P11T Trans ( Touring model to get the LSD ) is harder to find than the B15 SE with LSD

...we ran the P11 trans in the P10 , 400+ WHP launched at 7000 on 24.5x8x15 slicks and it held up fine ....

P11 for turbo........B15 1st and 2nd is shorter.

the B15 one is a bit easier to come by than the P11 but does that final drive really make a diffrence?

PM Andreas Miko, he is the one that usually gets ahold of the P11's.........He also puts his custom bracket on there as well.

P.S. how many miles on the B14 tranny?

99 P11 tranny is the same thing as the '91 se-r tranny and Same gear ratios. '00+ gear ratios changed. I think cable and hydraulic clutch changed as well. Shorter gearing for drag racing rite?

yea i know he has one but price is a but price is more that i have now,

and MR , It has 101k and the 5th gear was insatalled in Dec 07. so id say 4k since the rebuild of 5th.

just bought a p11 with 32k on it for 850 shipped, the deals are around ya just gotta search the net like the big boys do
