Thread: G20 Starter same as 200sx starter?

When looking up starters for my car it seems like a lot of them are showing that they are for 91-01 g20 / sentra.. Does a g20 starter work inside of a 200sx? They look different because there is a cover over the starter gear on the g20 one and just not on the 200sx one.. Anyone? I don't feel like paying $200 just to get a starter for this car =\

when i changed my starter i noticed how different my starter was to the one i had just purchased, works fine lol

The starters are made by two different companies, thus the different looks. Mitsubishi and I forget who else.

They are interchangeable.

Nissan starters are the best in my oinion but the price tag sucks!!
