Need B15/Spec V axle outer cv/huh spline count and size!!
I contacted Drive Shaft Shop on making a cheap affordable solution to the 6 speed swap than swapping hubs/brakes or trying to find the correct axles to make hybrids.

The solution is to just use b13 hubs and have them bored then drilled out for the b15 axles. This is what they were going to do with the custom set but splined for their even larger splined outer cv's.

I need someone to measure the diamter of the splines that go into the hub and give me a spline count on the b15 spec v axles.

Thanks and this should make a very affordable solution to the swap and would be a readily available service. You would send a set of just the hubs in to them and they would respline them.

Yeah he responded back to me quick and on a Saturday evening, lol. I was happy to see that. Hes genuinely interested in doing it. Ill be the first to purchase a set since I doubt ill be able to find another set of two axles to make one again. So yeah. The ease of just being able to be a drop in set of stock spec V axles will make things sooooo much easier and convenient as this seems to be one of the biggest issues with the swap for people. Nobody wants to have to swap hubs and brake setups, get new hubs drilled to 4X100 if you dont have dual bolt pattern wheels and so on or for those that have upgraded brakes already.

Cant wait to see what they can do.

That will mean we could get reman axles from a parts store in a bind... and they might be in stock since they arent 20 years old

Spline count on the outer joint through the hub is 27. Its gonna be a busy day, but if I get a chance I will check the hubs bearing surface between the two and see if they are the same size. If they are, you might be able to just redrill the Spec V hubs and press them into the SER knuckles with SER bearings.

But I think using the Spec V hubs/knuckles with a redrill to 4x100 is best bet if you can do it. The Spec V bearing is sealed, likely to be more reliable, and is larger so it can handle larger wheel loads better.

IIRC someone already checked about B15 hub into B13 knuckle and it wouldnt work..

I ordered a set of new axles from a parts store chain since I could get them for ~150 shipped. I should have them in a few days.

Yeah the b15 hub section that goes into the bearing is wider and larger diameter. No way it will work. Again thats why im trying to get this done so its a bolt on affair no question.

@Coheed

The only other measurement i need is the diamter of the splines that go into the hub as well. Other than that, ill be good to go.

Want me to use a mic or just take a pic of it with a tape measure?
