Thread: CEL woes.. help

So I've recently moved back to Cali with my B14 sr20ve and get to deal with the joys of smog checks again

The CEL I'm currently looking into is P1605 which I believe is due to the G20 auto ECU I have in my manual 200sx. Other than getting a JWT or stock ECU installed does anyone know of how I could eliminate this code?

Well, g20 MANUAL ecu if its throwing code due to a auto. the code A/T Diag Comm Line means its not reading the inhibitor most likely, throw a g20 manual ecu in and that code should vanish.

You could get rid of the code maybe but the less extensive route would just be getting a manual ecu bud.

Thanks for the reply, but I was kinda hoping someone might know a way to fake the signal to the ecu using a resistor or a short somewhere...

Problem is the dash wiring harness between a auto and manual is different, so most likely you are missing some wires, now if you had a auto harness you could trick it.
