Thread: se-r outer cv joint (problem finding)

I have busted my outer cv , the cage is broken, and i can't find a replacement.I've look every where, the nissan chart has nothing matching, i don't know if the previous owner mixed and matched.
The car has a sr20ve mated to the sr16 GB, the inner spline on the cv has 26 teeth, and the outer is the normal 25 teeth count.
Can anyone help me. Thanks.

Usually you just replace the axle. Most dont try to just replace the outer cv. You cant get the outer cv separate either. You would have to find someone selling one.

Your better off just buying a new axle.

hey ashton, but can you tell me what car this cv came out of? And with the kind of power ur putting out, i'm sure you have to replace YOUR axle. Us small hp folk hope it's just the cv thats damaged! thanks buddy

You should be able to use any sr20 5 speed lsd gearbox axle, doesnt really matter what year it comes from. All LSD axles from the 91-02 can be used.

Im using oem nissan green outer cv's on my hybrid axles and havent broken one yet. Ive only broken one oem nissan axle at the drag strip.
