Thread: Likely leaving the game

After taking out my bum engine I've been finding too many things wrong, and with the age and rust on this car (not to mention abuse and whatnot) I feel like it's probably time to go. For all the good things I've done to it, and all the reliable parts I've put into it, there's just as many questions and parts needing replacement.

If this ends up happening, I'll end up just junking the shell and selling the good parts I have, such as the assembled motors, motor parts, transmission, rims, custom exhaust, etc. Keep an eye open for any FS threads in the future. As sad as it is, and as much as I don't want to, I think this girl's just had it.

8 years with the SE-R...

I feel ya... I had to just get rid of my b13 2 weeks ago after 2 1/2 years of owning it.. Just way too much damage to it.. Good luck with whatever you choose to do..

Find a clean shell and start swapping parts over?

The cost of getting a clean shell to this state makes keeping the stuff even less likely, unfortunately.

Rust sucks, thats the one thing I hated about my first se-r. Soo glad when I found my current. AZ/NV car its entire life and not a single spec of rust

That sucks to see another member go though.

For the first eight years of its life my SE-R was my DD. At the time I was living in NY. I remember standing outside on cold winter days with a half frozen garden hose rinsing the salt off the car after some winter driving. To me it was 100% worth the hassle when I look back now.

1.Get a plane ticket to FL...
2.Buy a rust free car(I will help you find one if you want)
3.Drive home across the country and see the country from the seat of your new SE-R!!
4.Enjoy miles of smiles everytime you go somewhere in the car after that for at least 8 more years.
