Not really sure. I haven't really looked at it yet. I was thinking off the back of the cat. Not sure if there's room, though. If you wanted to run dirty, I suppose you could use the space the cat is taking up. That might throw some kind of emission code do to the sensor back there, however.

So i picked up an STi muffler and now I'm looking at resonators again. I think I may get two 5" x 14" magnaflow resonators to fit where the stock resonator and cat go... Since they don't make a longer 5" version...

Don't bother with a 5", they are rare, small and too expensive. Just get a the longest 4" that you can fit under there and call it a day.

My fear is that the longest 4" will be louder than two short 5" resonators...

Perhaps I'll just get the 6"... I really want my car to be quiet, but I don't want to have problems with ground clearance... Does flowmaster or borla make a resonator??? I only have iPhone for Internet this weekend... Trying to buy something soon...

Ok so maybe I'd be better off with a cat and the 5" x 14" resonator??

I absolutely want my car to be quiet.. I don't care if it costs a little more.. Maybe a cat out of a junk yard off of a Q45 or turbo Z or something??

what is the length of the straight-away? anyone? bueller??

I'll sell you my 6" resonator with flanges already on it. . It made the car sound good NA no muffler. But I kept on scraping.

no thanks, I read you were scraping without lowering your car, and I plan on putting in my hypercoils in the next few weeks...

Case and Point then, stay away from 6" . 5" will be pushing your luck too.

I don't know if the cat will help quieten more than a 5x14 resonator would, but I would *figure* the resonator would do more.

I do NOT recommend the "normal" shaped style of cat (which a lot of magnaflows high flows are) as they cause more turbulence (and raspiness and lost power) than a "spun" aluminum style cat. Look up "exdperformance" or "Exhaust Direct" on eBay for $50 spun aluminum cats. I've used them for a years now and never had problems passing etest and my exhausts always sounded pretty decent.
