Have your car jack ready while your car is raised on drive on jack stands.

You will need the car jack to hold the resonator up, its freaking heavy!

Ok cool. I'll post up pics when it's installed. Hey also, did you get one of the exhaust pipes stretched open a lil bit so one can kinda slide inside the other and then weld it or did you just line them up and weld?

Flanges is the way to go, IMO, saves you a lot of time and makes your life easier if you ever have to take it apart

Well I have the exhaust all on and love the way it sounds! It sounds kinda stockish but with a deep low tone. I really don't have any compliants but the fact that the resonator towards the back hangs lower and scrapes when I drive in and outta parking lots. I also tried removing the heat-sheilds to make more space but then when they were off, I noticed there was some stuff that looks like it should be protected from the heat, so I put them back on. Any advice?

My advice is that the larger resonator discipates heat a lot better. It never got as hot as the stock stuff... I removed the shields on my car and didn't have any problems... the front heat shield "protects" the shifter assembly, and the rear one protects the emergency brake cables.

yo vad...........in your quests did you ever come accross a long ass 5inch res? i would LOVE to use the 33inch long 6inch round magnaflow res for the exaust i want to build for my mazda but it will not fit. the 5inch ones are not that long and id rather use one very long muffler instead of multiple (i think the longer one will work better than 2 of equal length)

Wow so that means I might have to get under there again and put my tools to work. Oh well gotta love our cars.......... Hahahahaha

Now I made another thread in the other forum about comparing the Fidanza Flywheel and the XTD one. My question is which is a better bang for my buck? Also, on the Fidanze ones, how much would it cost to replace the friction surface if anyone knows?

If there was one it would be on my car now. I searched all over the place, their website confirmed that they don't exist for some reason

I think a long 4" might do the trick, or like you said two 5"...

Fidanza is lighter and comes with 108 tooth and 109 tooth models, XTD only comes with 109 tooth ones (B14 = CEL).

XTD is an eBay brand, so quality might be not as good as Fidanza's. Now XTD is not aluminum, so that might actually make it better then Fidanza's...

Either way, here is a thread about flywheels.
