I have a dynaflo from Summit racing on my VRS setup, I'm thinking it was only about $25, but that was probably 4 years ago by now.

It SUCKED with the stock round can VRS sends you.. once I cut off that thing and installed the Magnaflow oval muffler it has a very nice tone.

Just re-install a cat. Its not helping you with power and its the cause of the ****ty sound. jeez. Gutted cats sound like crap.

Sounded like poop with cat being normal. Cat was rattling, so thats why I gutted it.

After I gutted it the sound stayed the same, just got a tad bit louder.

This is why I am kinda looking for a 97 or older cat, so that I don't have to have a head ache with the 98+ extra long cat.

But I think just having a resonator to replace both the CAT and Ebay resonator that I have right now will fix the problems

^I agree 100%..........I want run a test pipe or gutted stock cat on my daily driver again. Magnaflow RESO's and highflow CATS FTW! You Got to have the goods in the CAT. You only see like 1hp from a DE that is N/A from gutting the cat anyway. Not worth the noise, pollution, and bottom feeder RASPY sound to me.

I agree, I wouldn't mind getting a new CAT on there, if it wont cost me too much though. I'm not a fan of the smell that the car gives off right now

I'm running 2.25" piping a high flow Magnaflow cat and a 12" resonator with a Flowmaster 40 Series 2.25" 42441 muffler. It sounds good until the 3000 rpm mark then it releases the angry bee's.I'm going to try out the big ass Magnaflow resonator and hopefully it will muffle the bee's at this point I don't care how quite it is I just want the rasp gone.
