Thread: Everthing Died!! on the dash

All Dash controls,gauges,radio,switch window and wideband went dead while driving down the road..
the car didnt shut off,only the head lights work.
I checked all the fuses inside and out side all of the appear to be good..
Im stummped..

Either going to be the square electronics fuse in the engine bay (again very hard to tell they are blown a lot of times) or the dimmer switch went bad.

Those fuses you really have to look close at them a lot of times. Just try swapping it with another. Should be the one right next to the engine control (brown/tan) colored fuse if im not mistaken. Should say electronics.

Gotta be one of those white wires on the + terminal. Get a multimeter And check for power before and after the plug.

Fixed..thats exactly what it was..I cut out the burnt part of the wire and soldered the good ends back together and Wala all is well in B13 Land...

What happened is I tightened up the alternator belt and due to the header being so close the positive wire/nut was close enough to the header to short the system out..
Chit happens mang! <~(in my spanish accent)
