Thread: P11 sr18 gbox ratios

I am currently racing in autox with my det p11 primera. It originally came with the sr18de and non LSD gbox(which is currently installed) but feel the ratios are too long. I did a google search a saw numerous port on different forums saying the sr18 ratios are shorter than the 20s but found this post here stating that his came from a p10 with a 3.9xx fd which sound about right to me.
So does anyone have good info on these boxes?

I have a friend with a sr20 gbox but I don't want to swap the 18 out if it is shorter.

I dont have much personal info on the sr18 transmission, I honestly dont know much about it. However, upon reading that thread it seems as if the sr18 transmission is similar to an sr20 transmission with a shorter 5th gear and longer final.

1. 3.063----12.791 = 44 MPH
2. 1.826-----7.625 = 72 MPH
3. 1.286-----5.370 = 102 MPH
4. 0.975-----4.072 = 134MPH
5. 0.810-----3.382 = 162 MPH

Here is the SR20DE gear boxes

SER Gear Box 91-99 ---- FD ( 4.18 )

1. 3.063----12.791 = 44 MPH
2. 1.826-----7.625 = 72 MPH
3. 1.286-----5.370 = 102 MPH
4. 0.975-----4.072 = 134MPH
5. 0.756-----3.157 = 173 MPH


Infinty G20T 94-96 Gear Box ---- FD ( 4.18 )

1. 3.063----12.791 = 44 MPH
2. 1.826-----7.625 = 72 MPH
3. 1.286-----5.370 = 102 MPH
4. 0.926-----3.867 = 142MPH
5. 0.733-----3.061 = 179 MPH


The gear boxes below are the only ones that have shorter gears and FD

You need to get a SR16VE gear box, a SR16VE N1 gear box or a gear box from an Autech Pulsar.

SR16VE gear box FD ( 4.437 ) Very Easy To Get

1. 3.333---14.788 = 37 MPH
2. 1.955----8.674 = 63 MPH
3. 1.333----5.914 = 92 MPH
4. 0.975----4.290 = 127 MPH
5. 0.756----3.326 = 164 MPH


Autech Box with FD ( 4.437 ) Very Hard To Get

1. 3.063----13.477= 41 MPH
2. 1.826-----8.033 = 68 MPH
3. 1.286-----5.658 = 97 MPH
4. 0.975-----4.290 = 127 MPH
5. 0.756-----3.326 = 164 MPH


N1 Nismo tranny FD ( 4.437 ) Damn Near Impossible To Get

1. 3.200-----14.198 = 39 MPH
2. 2.048-----9.087 = 61 MPH
3. 1.500-----6.655 = 82 MPH
4. 1.152-----5.114 = 108 MPH
5. 0.872-----3.870 = 143 MPH

Thanks for the info Dre. Is this the lsd sr18 box? because i have the non lsd, maybe a difference?
