I don't think it matters the car (don't quote me on that, not something I researched) just as long as it's the proper age. You have to submit pictures of the car and stuff to get the classic plate I THINK, or that could just be for the discounted insurance so they know the cars in decent condition to begin with. My dad did it with his 90 Corvette, but I don't think it would matter the car cuz who's to say what a worthy car for classic plates would be, you know...I just know there are some hoops to jump thru just can't remember exactly what. As long as the state gets their cut their happy lol
