First start-up questions!
Hey guys...I'm getting ready to start up my built Sr that has been sitting for about a year. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions that might make my life a little easier. I was gonna pull the plugs and squirt a little oil down the cylinders and crank it over a couple times to build up the oil pressure. I'm breaking it in with the turbo on. What do you guys think?

turn the crank by hand a few time to build a little oil pressure and to get a little oil on the top, u could also add about 1/2 quart to lube up the head and cams and what not. have u done a fresh oil change to it yet

Unplug the distributor and crank the motor over with the starter until you get oil pressure (if you have a guage) or until the oil pressure warning light goes out. Then connect and start. That way you dont put any load on the engine prior to circulating oil throughout.

I wouldn't do that. Just get some new plugs and if you have the valve cover off pour about a half quart of some fresh oil (5w-30) on all the cam journals and valves.
