Thread: sad day

I was doing some work for a local shop today and the owner asked me to look at his daughters boyfriends car to see what was wrong with it. I go out in the lot and see a 98 ser...all beat to hell. Rims scuffed to hell, paint faded, rust eating it alive and a busted up front end. Guy had a small coolant leak and just let it go, overheated the shit out of it and parked it. I offered to buy the car for like 500 bucks so I could get some parts for my 99 sentra (rear disk conversion and I think the rims can be saved oh and a b14 trans instead of my b13) waiting to hear back from the guy. I hope i can at least save some parts so the car doesnt die in vain.

Happens all the time.. well I mean, at least seeing them in that condition on the road. I scan EVERY B13 Sentra I see, SE-R or not, and always try to see if the person knows what they have, about 80 percent of the time it appears they don't

Whats dissapointing is how the quality of B14's I see lately has reached a point where most of them are in bad shape, in fact I don't see any nice ones anymore. Mostly beat up Sentra GXE's missing a hubcap or something and the body is always dented.

Me too. Hell, 80 percent of the B13's I see around here... belong to me.

I've had 3 B13's and 1 B14 in just the last year, and they are almost the only ones I see too, although you're only about 20 min from me

Truth be told I don't get out much.

Dude I get so bored on weeknights (I only work Thur-Sat/Sun) that I go out and just drive them around, no destination, no reason to go, but just to go and hit the fuel cut a few times. And waste gas. Have been in and thru Pottstown a bunch of times too.

Then For the love of god will someone pick up my 99% rust free b13 shell before I have to do the unthinkable

Keith, if I had the means I'd have dibbs on it already. It kills me to think of that car going to the scrapper. Of course if I woke up one morning and it was in my driveway with a signed title taped to the windsheld I'd take it in and take good care of it.

Bring a trailer and we'll pick it up and put it on it then take her home
