Yeah if you dont want to spend for a brand new one just get one used from someone off the forum. Fatboy's should be fine as its low mileage.

I also have a couple but im not home to send you off one.

One if have off the ve motor and the other I originally bought new from greg. They wernt 100 bucks back then though. About 70 shipped w/ gasket

Ha, I just went back and looked again. The $100 one is for N1 motors, the regular one is $70.

Yeah the only difference from the n1 to the normal ve/updated tensioner is the n1 has finer increments of locking teeth. Other than that, the strength of them as far as keeping tension is the same.

Oohhhhh you're referring to ignition timing, not cam timing. I thought you were talking about cam timing because you mentioned the timing chain tensioner and that by "jump" I thought you meant it jumped on the crank or something. I don't think the timing chain tensioner could effect the ignition timing in that way.

Hes talking about the cam timing jumped as in skipped a tooth if im not mistaken. The new tensioner will stop that from happening. Ive seen it happen only a few times and thats because they were original very very high mileage tensioners.
