Double check one of the cam gear bolts isn't loose. Or the chain tensioner hasn't seized

If it helps at all, the sound is definitely coming from the top of the engine.

LOL. I love all the VE comments on here. I think a few hundred £ rebuild is a lot cheaper than importing a VE. Not to mention its an Autech engine anyway so good power as standard.

The body of the Autech Pulsar is great

but,

There is nothing special about an Autech SR20DE.

Autech SR20DE = 175 HP = 150 WHP.

I am quite sure only the P10 Autech engine had something special done to it.

Every other autech is just cosmetics. A few may have different ecu bins.

Few hundred pounds? You could easily get a VE for that.

The Autech N15 engine has

Better programmed ECU, cams the size of JWT S3 cams and it has 11 to 1 compression. Thats how they got it from 140 to 175 HP.

Yeah you might get a VE for a few hundred pounds over there is the US. Try upwards of £1000 over here in the UK.

Or you could put a 16VE in which will get you, oh wait, 175hp.

Trolololol.
