Msd coil meltdown?ISSUE RESOLVED

What do you think would cause this?... this is the first time this has happened but I found the distributor cap partial melted close to the contacts inside the cap..... what's going on?.

No, the coil wire was attached the as tight as can be......I check it almost anytime I pop the hood. The funny thing is this setup has been on the car for 7 months with no problems....odd.
