Fuel regulator Lifespan/ failure rate.



Now I could be imagining things.... I just hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to my car a few weeks ago watched the gauge through out that time, seen all sorts of wacky readings mainly low... I recently swapped out the old oem regulator for adjustable FPR and now the fuel gauge is now stable, for the few days I've been watching it..... is it possible the O.e.m fuel regulators wear out over time?

How old was it? Is the car running the same with the adjustable one in now?

I'm sure if the gauge is functioning properly that an oem regulator with a lot of age to it may not be able to maintain pressure properly.

Not sure of the age..... usually jdm motor swaps have about 40K on them.... ..... but that is what I'm trying to figure out, has anyone else noticed if these things wear out.....or fail.
