Bent spark plug but still 175 compression???
Taking a turn, get on it, pop, sounds like running on 1 cylinder... Change ECU and it goes to running on all 4 cylinders but there is a noise coming from the block... It sounds like its coming from either the compression chamber or head... 210 in the other cylinders but 175 in this one... Going to stick a magnet down in there to see if I can fish anything out but I don't know... What do you guys think? JDM RR installed for a week lol I have warranty but they said they won't cover it if there is bent or damaged valves...

I can see scarring on the piston as well...

Definitely rod knock.

didnt listen to the vid but from the looks of the plug it looks like it injested something. Check your throttle body screws to start. If the knock is super loud though i doubt its just a piece of screw floating in there. Take power away from the cylinder by disconnecting the injector and see if the noise quiets significantly or goes away. If so, Rod knock.

If you think its something in the cylinder, try a magnet first. If nothing then leave the plug out and crank it over and see if you can blow it out that way.

That sound that sends shivers down my spine is rod knock.

Makes me miss my P10 more, dammit.

The last time I had rod knock though it was coming from the bottom of the block and sounded completely different, this time around it sounds like its coming directly from the head???

This is a bump from hell but I just noticed I never updated this.. Just in case anyone searches for this, I let it sit for 3 weeks and came back to start it just to see what it would do and sure enough it started up and ran fine! compression test was good even and even! Did a leak down and had maybe 3 or 4% leakage for all the cylinders, had maybe 1% more for this cylinder.. Pulled it to swap for a VE but still have it running good

So what caused the bent plug?

either detonation or something got in the cylinder.. never actually took it apart but my timing was extremely low like at 5 or something so maybe that played a roll in it
