I have a ScanGuage 2 and also an Engine Kill Switch that i use while going down a hill to turn the engine off and bump start the engine using 5th gear. I have done some reading on the ecomodder.com web site and have gotten tips on fuel saving

impressive , what rpm do you stick to on highway?

The sweet spot based on the ScanGuage 2 is in 5th Gear around 2700RPM to 2750RPM which puts me around 61MPH which is roughly 98KM/H. But i don't just stick to that speed/RPM due to the fact i due a certain technique that the guys at the ecomodder site refer to as "Pulse and Glide" as well as "Engine Off Coasting". The ecomodder site's definition of Pulse and Glide is below. Also I have the tires on the car at 45PSI for less rolling resistance and a longer "Glide" in the "Pulse and Glide" technique.

Pulse and Glide-An old driving technique popularized most notably by some drivers of the Toyota Prius (but adaptable to nearly any vehicle). It's a repeated regimen of accelerating to an upper target speed under relatively high engine loads, then coasting down with the engine shut off to a lower target speed. The average speed of a Pulse & Glide pattern is often significantly more fuel efficient than cruising at the same constant speed.

I tried the killing the motor on long downgrades thing too for 2 hour trip. In the end, you have to do it properly, b/c popping the clutch and restarting it uses a bunch of gas anyway. It's only worth it when it's a long hill down

Oh and also consider the wear on the engine when coasting downhill in gear, especially 4th or lower - I'd rather sip some gas at be at 900RPMS than be up at 4000RPM rolling in gear. At least w/ my SE-R. Now in a regular car like a daily driver couldn't care less. They are lucky if they get semi-synthetic oil

I get 28-30 mpgs. I fill up everytime with 10-11.5 gallons So I get around 320 miles with every fillup. Aren't the B14 like a 13gallon tank?

B13's and B14's have 50 Liter Fuel Tanks which is 13.20 Gallons and the P11's have 60 Liter Fuel Tanks which is 15.85 Gallons.

All the 30+ MPG guys must be shifting every gear below 2000RPM or something

I usually never go over 4800 to 5200 RPM when driving on my way to work and back. The only downside to that is the cams I have in the car are for the opposite end of the spectrum. I am too lazy to change them back to either JWT S3 or OEM highport set.
