I have had the crazy thought of putting a 2004-2006 spec v 6-speed swap just for the long 6th gear for freeway driving. But with the cost of the swap, it would take alot of driving make to the swap pay for it self.

I wonder if anyone has done the 6-Speed Swap and what their mpg was on the highway.

I do this too.

Costing in neutral is actually bad for your gas. If you coast in gear (aka engine breaking), but stay in high enough gear your injectors will shut off. While your coasting in neutral injectors must stay on to keep the engine running.

Doesn't engine breaking wear out the clutch faster?

I average about 150-180 mile per tank, pure city though. Takes about 20 minutes to go 4miles.

Ha this old debate again.. the short answer is no one really knows which is better, neutral coasting or in gear, for the overall longevity of the car and its moving parts..

My 362 was a mix of hwy and city. How much fuel do we have left when the light comes on?
