Thread: How many miles to a full tank of gas?

Today I took it to the limit. It was like that Seinfeld episode where Kramer and the car dealer guy decide to find out how far they can go on a full tank of gas.

Well I managed to get 362 miles out of a full tank. I think I could have gone farther, but the light was on and I didn't want to chance it and get stranded. How much do you guys get on your SR20's? My car, a fully stock 1998 200SX SE-R with 5 speed trans.

I didn't fill it back up. I only put in $25 worth, 6.4 gal. I'd say 362 miles is not bad for a 98 SE-R.

Hard to say without knowing how many gallons you used, but looks good so far

Doing well for fully stock, depending on how many gallons to fill it up.

my fuel gauge works when it wants to so to be safe i fill up when i get about 280 miles. i have a b13 with a VE and bolt ons.

I can squeeze 400 out of a tank. But thats pushing it.

After the gas light comes on you have about 75 hwy miles left.

I went 439 miles and then ran out of gas.

Lesson learned, my light comes on and I run out of gas 5 miles later.

$150 mistake, had to get towed 7 miles at 3:30 am.

How do guys get 40 mpg's with these engines?

most i had was about 325 and thats with a sr20det

Man, you guys get really good mileage. I can only manage 275-300mi on average with mainly street driving when I'm not to heavy footed. But if I do a lot of fwy driving, I can go around the 350mi mark. I almost ran my tank completely dry and managed 400mi. When I went to fill up, The pump put in 12.5 gallons of fuel. To put that in perspective, the B14's fuel tank capacity is 12.6 gallons :O . On top of that, my gas light doesnt work, so I tend to worry when my needle goes below the "E" line.
