Rod bearings shot ? (Update)
Thought that i would post this video and see if anyone has had a similar noise.
The engine has about 175 thousand miles on it . I have already pulled the valve cover to inspect for damage but found everything was intact. Work has kept me from really digging into it. Thanks in advance for thoughts!

Sounds like rod knocking to me.

Sounded exactly like my P10 did when it died on me

"I hear you knockin' but you can't come in..." Bearings are bye-bye. Once you've heard that noise coming from your engine it's unforgettable, especially when you rev it up.

Mine wasn't even that loud at all and my rod was bent, rod bearings were toast.... Time to start looking for another engine... I just picked mine up for like 530 shipped so they aren't expensive at all

Disable the rev limit and put a brick on the gas pedal. Oh ya, its rod knock.

Thanks for the responses . Guess when I have some good free time i will pull down the pans to see the extent of the damage. It started as a faint noise a day before it finally gave out . I have a new DD to get around in but i would love to get her running right again . I will try to post some pics of the damage.
