E3 Spark Plugs
I remember there is a reason we don't use E3 spark plugs in the SR20 motors but forgot why?

IIRC, there's nothing in their lineup of plugs where all 5 specs (thread, reach, heat range, hex and gap) match the NGK's. Perhaps someone can back me up.

I've also read that they work more efficiently on carburated engines.

IMHO stick with OEM. If "designer" plugs really did what they say, don't you think the manufacturers, who spend millions on R&D every year, would have jumped on that band wagon already?

all its needs to do it create spark.. Why make something fancy and "fix it" if it isnt broken.

IMHO a $2 plug is as good as the $9 plug...

They are snake oil. Spark will always find the path that has the least resistance and it will stick to that path. Having multiple ground electrodes simply hurts it.

It's blocking a ton of the area where the spark and fuel can start going. Thus they will actually perform worse.

I know someone who tried to used this in a 1.8T jetta and he said it was a huge mistake. The car sometime didnt want to boost, and when it did it was a LOT lower than what it was suppose to. E3=epic fail!

I should replace the plugs in the SE-R, might make the check engine light go off as it does stay on most of the time, but sometimes clears. Should replace the plug wires too!
