Thread: Too much oil, or too little?

What do you guys think? Right amount, or not enough?

A little less than 4 quarts. I actually drained some out because I thought it was too full.

no... if there was any water it would make it thicker and milky... its just new... Dont worry about it 4qts is fine. A little over or under is ok too. a *little

Its just clean, thats why it looks that way.

Any level in the mesh looking area is good, you don't have to get it exactly on the top line or else they would have only put one line on the dip stick.

did you check it after u started the car for a few seconds or before start

Yeah i run 4qts in my car usually, its dead on the top mark after i run the engine for a few then let it cool down a while an check it. i add the little extra to account for the vvl passages and turbo + oil line an such. Another thing i like about ve's is that im able to add oil to the filter before putting it on, un like the factory highport..
