Oh boy, if you are asking these questions I would find your local knowledgeable forum member and ask them to work with you on this. If you don't know what you have already chances are you will become the next victim of missinformation, poorly built parts, and a mechanic that does not have a clue.
Everyone can keep saying use the search function, but unless you have basic knowledge of how boosting works and what you are doing, I would stay away.
I'm going to go away from what everyone else is saying. Go with the swap to learn the basics. Store the turbo kit till you get your ears wet in the SR20. Move along in baby steps.
Also do you know what the emissions cut off year is and what emissions they do in your state/area? That could play a big part in what you do as well.
What I would do if I was you:
-Modify your useable SR20DE engine to run a bit stronger (ECU, Exhaust, Intake, etc..).
-Get your brakes and suspension where you want it.
-Start with buying the VE and building it up for strong boost.
-Pick the Turbo that will fit your driving needs and wants (Daily driver, track or strip? big turbo = strip, smaller quicker spooling turbo = track)
After you have a usable car then you can dive into interior and exterior looks.
